The World of Gardens brings Jordan, The Azores, Switzerland and St Petersburg to Hampton Court

Visitors to the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show will be able to take a tour around the world without leaving Greater London, thanks to the first-ever World of Gardens feature at the show.

There are four show gardens featured, one bringing to life the iconic sites of the city of Petra in Jordan, another representing the highlights of the State Russian Museum in St Petersburg. The landscapes of the Swiss Alps and the Azores will also be recreated in garden form in the grounds of Hampton Court Palace

Asparagus ferns

Ongoing rainfall is threatening to curtail the asparagus season and disrupt the new potato and vining pea campaigns.

An annual asparagus festival in the Vale of Evesham scheduled for last weekend had to be cancelled due to a lack of asparagus. Cooler air temperatures and rain cooling soil temperatures has meant that asparagus crowns are not producing their spears yet.

Cornish Potatoes now available in our Farm Shop

Cornish new potatoes are the first outdoor Cornish potato crop harvested and we to stock Saturday 21 April 2010 for Knight & Rawlings.

 

These are the very first small, sweet new potatoes grown on home soil, and they hit UK shops and menus from late April and throughout May.

There's something new about the Cornish Earlies this year.

The popular potato is being sold 'dirty'.

Experts believe this maintains the quality, taste and freshness.

Cornish Earlies are a vital part of the rural economy in west Cornwall.
